Garnet Pear Electroformed Silver Ring, size 6
This listing is for the exact ring in the photos above. It is handcrafted by me using metalsmithing and electroforming methods. This unique ring has a half round Sterling silver band on which a natural, rose cut, pear shaped Garnet set in Electroformed bezels. The stone is untreated and all natural. I’ve set it east-West on the band for a unique twist. Unlike my copper rings that are Electroformed all over, this ring has only had the stone settings and very top of the band Electroformed. Once this has been completed, a coating of melted silver solder is applied over the Electroformed areas to match the band. This molten silver contains silver, but in order for it to have a low melting point, it has a lower silver content than sterling and may be very slightly darker than the Sterling band. It is then sealed with a clear protective lacquer to help prevent tarnish.
Garnet is the birthstone for the month of January. Garnet is associated with the Base Chakra, and is considered a grounding and healing stone.
