Handmade necklace with a real Cicada Electroformed in a thick shell of copper. Ethically sourced, no insect was harmed in the making of this piece. This Cicada is a smaller variety than the other Cicada necklace in my shop, but is still around 2.5” across at the wingspan. This specimen was a little crooked (it was preserved that way and I didn’t want to risk damaging it in order to straighten it), but when worn its barely noticeable and is otherwise in perfect condition.
The Cicada is mounted on a circular bail and hung on a chocolate brown leather lace with handmade hook style clasp. Overall length is about 17”. Oxidized finish and sealed with a clear protective lacquer.
